On July 29th, our annual DealMaker Europe event returned to The Brewery in the heart of London.
It was undoubtedly one of our best and biggest events to date. More than 700 industry-leading advertisers, publishers and agencies joined us for a day full of connection, learning, growth and fun! Dedicated to delivering the insights and connections our partners need to outperform, the event was filled with education, networking, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate with industry peers.
Here are just some of the highlights that made this year’s event truly unforgettable:
Staying Competitive in a Fast-moving Global Economy
To kick off the day, Ian Jindal, Chairman of RetailX , took attendees through a deep dive into what it takes to be part of the Global Elite with case studies from Nike, H&M and Lego. Kim Mark, our SVP of Global Strategy and Commercial Operations also highlighted the trends and affiliate strategies that helped them get there including personalisation, privacy and influencer marketing.
Optimise to Outperform
Our Product experts showcased how affiliate marketers can do more with less and deliver the results their brands are after. Taking us through case studies, the team showcased how our Insights and Analytics Portal can make budgets work smarter, our Audience Engine ensures your message lands with the right shopper and how the combination of affiliate and influencer marketing strategies can deliver next-level results.
The Affiliate Funnel: The Path Less Travelled
In this session, our partners News UK, Hearst Italy, Ecentime and stylink took the audience through the role they play in the purchasing funnel. From the point of inspiration to the point of purchase and beyond, we uncovered why it’s more important than ever to have a full-funnel performance marketing strategy to target consumers at all stages.
Staying Ahead in the Evolving Finance & Travel Sectors
In the afternoon, we hosted two exclusive mixers for our thriving finance and travel verticals. Bringing together key players from across the two sectors, we explored the latest industry trends amongst unrivalled networking opportunities.
In our Travel Mixer, Reward and Head for Points shared their unique perspective on how consumers are booking travel in 2023 and how travel brands can ensure their affiliate programmes take flight in 2023.
Over in our Finance session sponsored by Money.co.uk, we heard from Times Money Mentor and our finance experts on how the cost-of-living crisis has affected how consumers are managing their finances online. You can read more about the insights shared in the Mixer from leaders at HSBC and Cleo over in Performance Marketing World.
More Business, More Connections
And it wouldn’t be a DealMaker event without networking, which remains at the very heart of our event. This year, a record-breaking 1608 meetings were booked at the event. Everywhere you looked, our attendees were forging profitable partnerships! Our PartnerSpace area was buzzing for the whole event. Attendees were sipping mouth-watering cocktails (thanks to Intent.ly!), unwinding with a mini massage and sharing their best moves on social media in our 360 photobooth. Who knew doing business could be this fun?
Celebrating the Best of the Best
Our highly anticipated European Golden Link Awards followed this year’s event. Now in its fourth year, our awards celebrate and showcase our partners who are raising the bar, delivering exceptional results and driving the future of our industry.
Sikisa Bostwick-Barnes, a critically acclaimed stand-up, writer and producer had the audience in hysterics before she presented our 11 coveted awards. Discover our impressive list of Outperformers here.
The day closed with our epic After Party co-hosted by stylink! We toasted to a successful event, partied with our incredible affiliate network, rocked the karaoke stage and stormed the dancefloor.
From our sponsors and speakers to every single attendee, a huge thank you to everyone who helped us create another incredible DealMaker Europe. We can’t wait to see you next year!
