Since 2017, when Apple first announced ITP, we’ve been building and innovating our technology independent of 3rd party cookies to maintain tracking integrity for publishers and mitigate risks to the partnerships that run on our platform. We’ve persisted, even as Apple rolled out stricter versions of ITP, as Firefox followed suit and even now as Google evaluates its next move – such that publishers and advertisers should feel confident that server-side, ITP-compliant integrations are the Gold-standard we expect of advertisers. Because of this, we offer a variety of integration options – some of them have always been server-side, and those that weren’t have been upgraded to support 1 party and server-side cookies, including our partnerships with the major 3rd party ecommerce platforms. At Rakuten Advertising, we have a badging system to provide transparency and conduct regular audits to ensure ITP compliance that’s made public to publishers, and through regular audits performed by our Product Operations team.
