Ayanna Howard, this year’s DealMaker New York keynote speaker, has had a remarkable career in robotics to date. Professor Howard began as a senior robotics researcher at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and has now grown into the role of the Linda J. and Mark C. Smith Professor and Chair of the School of Interactive Computing in Georgia Institute of Technology’s College of Computing. Here she focuses her research on intelligent technologies with a specific look at how this technology will interact in our human world.
Professor Howard has seen much success to date with her work in artificial intelligence (AI), assistive technology and robotics resulting in more than 200 peer-reviewed publications.
