On November 16th, members of the Rakuten Marketing UK team will be braving the elements in the name of charity to take part in Centrepoint’s annual Sleep Out.
Centrepoint is the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people. It supports over 9,000 16-25-year-olds into housing and employment every year with the overall aim of ending youth homelessness. More than 350 staff work for Centrepoint across the country including front-line workers based in hostels, counsellors and health supports all the way through to people who boost self-esteem and help with job placements.
The Rakuten Marketing London team have been supporting Centrepoint for the last three years and are proud to be once again participating in their Sleep Out next month. For one night, our team will swap their comfy beds for sleeping bags and sleep rough to raise money and awareness for homeless young people who are facing the same issues.
Here is what some of our team had to say about ditching the duvet for a night in name of this great cause:
“I can’t wait to take part and raise money for such a great cause” – Paul Mellor, Rakuten Display
“It’s great that the team can get together and contribute to such a loved charity, we are excited to get going” – Nicole Wellman, Client Services
“I think music will get me through, I just can’t live without my headphones” – Dhruve Patel, Publisher Services
“I can’t think of a quote, just love raising money for charity” – Becca Harvey, Client Services
We would be delighted if you would help support this incredibly worthwhile charity by donating via our Just Giving page here.
