Wednesday 11th September 2019 marks the 10-year anniversary of DMEXCO.
Since its inception in 2009, DMEXCO staked its claim as one of the largest digital marketing conferences in Europe. Taking place at KoelnMesse in Cologne, Germany, more than 1,000 companies and 41,000 visitors travel from around the world to immerse themselves in the latest industry trends.
Rakuten Marketing will be exhibiting throughout this year’s two-day event, teaming up with sister companies Rakuten Germany, Rakuten France and Rakuten Aquafadas.

When it comes to big conferences, organisation is pivotal. Our best suggestion is to download the official DMEXCO App. Using the app, you can store your tickets, create your own conference agenda, and explore exclusive content. Keep in the loop on social media
Whilst the DMEXCO app is a great way to connect with potential prospects, some attendees prefer to keep in touch using social media. Maximise your potential of making new connections by joining groups on LinkedIn and following relevant hashtags, such as #DMEXCO and #DMEXCO2019. Get your travel and accommodation sorted ASAP
With 41,000 people visiting Cologne specifically for DMEXCO, the demand for transport and accommodation is high. If you haven’t sorted your hotel and transport to Cologne, book sooner rather than later – prices are only going to increase!
Getting around the city and to KoelnMesse has also never been easier. We recommend using an app such as Citymapper so you can navigate your way around (and they offer recommendations using every available mode of transport – you’re spoiled for choice!).
Get a good night’s sleep – you’ll have a long night ahead of you

Whilst DMEXCO is a digital event, sometimes, technology doesn’t always work in our favour, and our devices run out of battery. Spanning over three different halls, the size of DMEXCO should not be underestimated. To keep you going, we have a variety of drinks to help you stay hydrated at our stand! Come and find us in Hall 8, Stand A018 and join us for a coffee, or even an alcoholic drink or two – our Happy Hour starts at 16:30 on the first day.

Follow-up with the people you meet
After meeting plenty of new faces, it goes without saying that people are likely to forget to get in towith you. If you’ve had a great conversation with a prospect, connect with them on social media ASAP. Get in touch a few days after the event to ensure both parties have had ample time to rest – if this is your first time attending, DMEXCO can really take it out of you!
